Hal left Dickie Noles in to face a lot of righty/switch hitters. Definitely reflects the risks of the Four Aces strategy, given that team's bullpen.

19 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning for the Pionneers...

My golly... if it isn't a record...

Musial 3/3 HR 6 RBIs, Mathews 3/3 HR 2 RBI, Daniels 2/2 2 HRs 5 RBIs...

23 hitters came to the plate... 20 of them were safe before an out was recorded...

21st hitter... poor Corey Seager hit into a DP...

WOW !!!

The "old" long forgotten record books shows a 20 run inning.

But of course all of the details were ripped out because SOM decided not to pay for server storage, which is why I stopped maintaining all of those records.

Quick question, Moose. According to your "old" records, has anybody ever topped Dimaggio's real MLB record 56 game hitting streak ? If I recall correctly from my scans of the "old" records, a hitting streak of more than 56 games hasn't ever been achieved in ATG. For Dimag's real-life record to stand up against ATG's simulations, would be amazing given all thousands and thousands of seasons that have been played.
Thanks for checking--assuming you still have the data! :D

Same question and same view of it as amazing.
It has stood the test of time and seems unfazed by steroids, rule changes, ballpark sizes, generational shifts, and apparently even game simulations.
Simply amazing.

Woah! These numbers are definitely worth looking at, but as you suggest, this is in a 140M league with no SPs costing over 1M and no RP above .85M. All parks are bomber parks. Top 12 BAs range between .481 and .451. Top individual season hit totals range between 384 and 326. Best ERA for a pitcher is 10.17. The #12 SP has an ERA of 14.78!

And in a way, it shows again just how amazing Dimag's achievement really was. Even in this crazy environment, only two all-time great hitters could top him. This environment also shows why a pitcher achieving a 4.50 ERA in a 200M league is doing really great. The hitters in a 200M league are at the same level, most of the parks are hitter friendly, and even a pitcher with no hits on his card is going to give up a bunch of runs.
