Dual Franchise League Season 46

Okay, can someone walk me through what happens after the draft, particularly in regard to franchises that were not selected.

Apologies for earlier posts about the Indians, I was under the impression at the time that they were not an included franchise for this round, also the Mets. I was wrong and posted several impertinent queries.

So,
We finish the draft
We create teams, I can only find a v13 set from 3:11 pm, is that the correct set?
Are there waivers?
Concerning players on undrafted franchises, are they entirely out, or can they be chosen by any manager? If so, how?
Concerning trades, we are allowed one but is there any limit on the number of players involved?

Is there somewhere, such as a league rules page, that explains all of this?

Best advice based on your questions:

1) you only get one FA belonging to the unpicked franchises. Make sure they do not have a card for a selected franchise... they aren't eligible if they do. Add them #1 to your autodraft for best chance at getting them. You can only put one such player in your autodraft list.

2) your one trade can involve multiple players (no limit)

Yes. The correct player set is "ATG9-Post WW2 V13 (created by FALCON29 on Sat, 3/25 at 3:11pm ET)"

Just realized, until we know for sure which 6 teams are not drafted, we can’t determine exactly who is eligible to be a free agent. So until Doug picks, I am going to hold off creating the league.

I will set up the league later tonight; for the new managers, no need to spend a lot of time fine tuning your roster whereas you have exclusive rights to the players on your 2 franchises. You will have 5 days to adjust your roster and make trades etc after the league is created. I will post league invite code here sometime tonight.

I hope Doug is ok, think he was scheduled for surgery 2 days ago…..wishing him all the best.

I tried calling Doug yesterday, June 8th at 1 P.M., and today at 5:15 P.M., to see how he was doing in his recovery from hip surgery, but got voice mail, so I left a message yesterday. I also texted him yesterday, asking him to call me. So far, no response to any of my contact attempts, which is certainly understandable. Yes, I too am concerned. as the normally ebullient Doug usually is always available to talk, and if we don't connect immediately, he gets back to me quickly.

Obviously, we can't draft our teams until we know which American League team Doug takes. Based on Doug's past teams, my guess is the White Sox, but who knows?

Dave, good call delaying the start of the league until we hear from Doug. I remain concerned and hope that Doug is OK. - Bernie

For a group of randomly thrown together guys with a common interest, I've found that we can develop pretty close ties throughout the Strat-O-Matic community. Hal Richman did a great thing 60+ years ago, better then he realized.

Our concerns for Doug's health are genuine, and I think we can all share Dave and Bernie's sentiments. In spite of his lack of success, he keeps coming out, and this league wouldn't be the same without Doug.

He’s in another league of mine and was chatting yesterday ( and making moves lol ). Yes, definitely hold up till he gives us the green light.

No rush.
