Cool. Nice to make your acquaintance!

Does SOM provide/sell that raw card data? Or do you add it up by hand? Or is there a program that can figure it out? Just a new player trying to learn....

I will look to join one of your theme leagues in the future.

We crowd source adding new cards to Diamond Dope. I'll use some of Strat's info on their player set spreadsheet to begin to add new cards to DD, then get the community to help input data.
I also use Diamond Dope to help predict what the community's card nominations would produce in ATG.

Choose Hitters or Pitchers tab.
Click the Square to the right of the A column (ctrl-A won't grab all the data for some reason).
That selects all the data, turns gray.
Then Click Data and Sort
Sort by Column AE and Z to A order.
The 8/31/23 add for the Pitchers begins on Line 113 with Koufax, Hitters begins on Line 213 with Foxx

Brilliant. Thank you!

Six thousand two hundred of the individual rarest talents in the history of MLB. It is a shame there is another twenty to thirty thousand rare talents being kept hidden from us who should join this select group of All time Greats. I mean I still can't believe we keep Jenny Finch, Dot Richardson, and Lisa Fernandez out of this game, I mean Joan Joyce had an ERA of 0.09 and isn't in the mix? WTF?? Not to mention the King and his court and the 1983 University of Texas men's baseball team, who accomplished so much for the sport. I mean don't we REALLY REALLY NEED Roger Clemens and Calvin Schiraldi's college cards? This is an absolute travesty that there are so few cards available. Not to mention Billy Bates who went on to have a distinguished MLB career with nearly 50 MLB at bats, he even got a double for goodness sakes. This is just an injustice to second baseman everywhere and I am sure Roger Hornsby is looking down very disappointed in the lack of inclusion for Billy Bates.

You do realize we have a card from an era when the pitcher threw underhand from 50 feet away and the batter got to tell the pitcher where in the zone to throw the ball and the ball was soft to be caught by players not wearing gloves. And a catcher who doesn't even have a hit vs lefties or a Ball Park hit, yet still has positive clutch, naturally he is a Chicago Cub.
https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/40 ... 292/465923. Any of the cards mentioned above makes more sense in a league of ALL TIME GREATS with the rules of the "game" throughout the 1870's to 1920.

We have Candy Cummings, who invented the curve interesting, but threw underhand as the rules stated, foul balls were outs and there fore was able to pitch 50 out of 80 games. Foul balls were strikes at the umpires discretion, It took 9 balls to get a walk, the first pitch could not be called a strike if the batter didn't swing. They didn't even really have a glove until the 1920's with Bill Doak creating the "web" and there wasn't a good glove till the A2000 in 1957.

Nothing worse than having lots of options! Totally normal thing to complain about. Make a custom set if you want fewer options.

It's the weird maelstrom that SOM has had to figure out -- 19th century players as above played different rules. NEL players and their partial stats and how they relate to SOM. Not easy.
