I started the league and sent invites to all. Still have 5 that need to join.

Supplemental Draft is almost over:

Once everyone is entered in Season 2 I will adjust the divisions accordingly.

SDKL LEAGUE SHEET - I updated all the rosters, corrected misspelled names, moved players to their primary positions according to # innings played at each position in 2023 season, moved SP's and RP's to primary roles according to 2023 stats. If anyone sees a player that I missed that should be moved, please let me know.

Once we have completed the supplementary draft, I would like to revisit the discussion regarding the "franchise pick" rule. I was interested in seeing the rule modified so that a manager could release a prospect and reassign the franchise designation to a different prospect at any point during the calendar year. As it currently reads, a manager would have to wait until the next prospect draft to do so. As a specific example of the application of the proposed change, I would be able to release Erick Pena who has turned out to be a complete bust thus far and reassign my franchise designation to a different prospect prior to the next free-agent draft. It is a minor change that would give everyone more roster flexibility.

Tarheel - while we have a little time, if you want to formally propose a rule change and bring it up for discussion and / or a vote, this might be a good time.

I am still trying to grasp the "Franchise" assignment and figure out how to best utilize it. I see that only 7 managers have a Franchise designated player currently, and I'm guessing 4 of those get promoted in spring 2024. That would leave only 3 Franchise players (including Pena), so this would be a good time to make the change if a change is to be made.
