Hey Steve,

I'll try to get to this tomorrow. Busy weekend.

Ok, here are the "Luck" categories and an explanation. Let me know if you have any questions.

BPSIs - This compares the bi singles rolls between a team and their opponent. I use a difference bigger than 75% of the Std Deviation and count 1/2 factor for each multiple you are above or below. The thought being that singles aren't as big of a deal as the other categories.

bphr - Same as singles except for I count 1 factor for each multiple.

one run games - 80% of the std dev.

Pythag - I use the difference between what pythag says and what your record is. I just use the std dev on this one. I also adjust to 1/2 a point if the one run has already factored in because they are so closely related.

Rolls - Do you roll on your card or theirs? If it's greater than the STD you get or lose luck factors.

UE/E - Ratio of unearned runs to errors. Turns out not all errors are actually costly and it's sort of random when they are and aren't. Points awarded for above or below the std dev.

Inj difference - Are you losing more games or less than what is expected?

Hope this helps.

Wow what a crazy game with Hawk tonight. We won 27-11! That's a lot of runs. Not sure I've got that many before.

Teams hit 12 HRs combined. M Carpenter hit 3 in a losing effort while we had three guys with 2 - Bell, Gordon, K Carpenter

Huge series with Hawk tonight. We're up 4, but have six remaining with Hawk including 3 tonight in his yard before returning home for the last nine games.

Given that the WC is almost certain to come out of the West, this looms large.

We're down a couple of players while Hawk has his full complement. Going to be a challenge that we'll have to meet.

Ouch! Lost three at home vs. the Ravens - that's 5 losses in a row. So, now am tied with. Stoney. We need to turn this thing around. Need at least .500 ball to finish the season.

Three two team races as we go into the last six games.

Of course, the second place team in the West has the WC I believe so that's not quite as exciting.

Well, we had to win one, but we won 3! We were lucky against Hawk the whole season. The difference in our records is in our Head-to-Head. We went 18-6 including 10-2 in his park! That's just crazy.

In the Central Semper will have to sweep Steve to make the playoffs. If I did my math correctly, the best Randal can do is a three-way tie and Steve will still make the playoffs in that case.

The West is all tied up with both teams hotter than heck down the stretch. In fact Stoney has won 8 in a row. They play each other in the last three for the Division title and the HF Advantage.

The Winner of the West will have the HF and play either JTJ or the winner of the Central. JTJ does hold the tie breaker with Steve. The WC will either play JTJ or Steve P. Semper cannot be the #2 seed.

Playoffs are set -

Spider takes 2 from Stoney to grab first and HF advantage.
Steve need one win and that's what he got. Semper made a run, but fell short.

We'll have our hands full with Stoney. He kicked our butt (as did Spider) in the regular season. Just glad we'll have the HF advantage for the first round.
