The RSSL has a single opening for a brave manager willing to take on the challenges of a small player pool, a random stadium assignment, and a group of merciless competitors. We're entering our 12th season of madness, mayhem, exultation and disappointment (the latter being mainly me). It's a fixed salary (80M) every year, with DH batting in odd seasons (so this one is pitcher bats). Your player pool is a streamlined 1,000 players (so choose wisely, Indy). But why waste time checking out the minutiae? DIVE RIGHT IN, MAN! Eleven of our 12 are ready and waiting for the draft. Your random ballpark is: Olympic Std 1996 turf 43,739 14 9 10 4 (the last one left, obviously). Lucky you! That ain't too bad (sez the guy who got Vet '99 last season, with 10's all around--Hey, I DID have the league's best record before I was unceremoniously bounced in the 7th game of the semis, in a 15-inning slog, with Jose Valverde throwing the LAST SIX INNINGS {WHA? Oh, yeah...that sh*t happened*}).
But enough sqwuakin'. How about you walk the walk with we few, we happy few, we band of friendly bros who fear nothing! (well...relatively speaking...)
