The "Original" 24 TKL

If anyone wants to trade me a Top-5 or 6 prospect picks, I would listen.

Also, have we voted on Unleashed or not recently? When rebuilding the limited player pool really is a struggle in 24-team leagues. I also find who they make unleashed even more random these days

There is seldom a way to plan for it outside of guessing. Ryan Pepiot will probably be unleashed, but maybe not. No way of being sure and that is a huge difference in if I can compete or not so I have no idea if what type of deals I should make. It's been years since we asked actually so I thought I would bring it up before we make any major trades.

What does it matter to know going into the 2024 season that 2025 will be? Does not help the FA draft at all to know that far ahead. It's before the season.

Maybe the Supp draft at most? It is in July so there is no way of knowing who might get a ton of ABs or IP down the streatch. The usebale pool here is so small, someone usually gambles on the guy at 15 IP to get to 30 IP.

Hitter wise, Evan Carter and Jasson Dominguez "might be" unleashed. Those prospects are already taken. Ernie Clement is the only possible weird card and with a whopping 7 ABs going into our supplemental draft would anyone have taken him? Nope. So it did not change anything. As for SP, we are looking at Ryan Pepiot and John Means who will be worth a lot. Again, guys people already have.

All we are doing is adding a but of depth back into the draft pool with drops and mid-tier guys like Wilyer Abreu and an older fluke guy like Nick Martini and then Ernie Clement (if they card him) and maybe a couple of others they deem unleashed for the sake of having enough cards. Oh, and Sean Boucahrd, who will be unleashed for the second year in a row. Maybe they need to get that guy some more ABs.

But if it gets it to pass, 2025 is fine with me. I just like knowing. 50-75 Abs? Getting a card. 30 IP as a starter? Card. 20+ as a reliever? Card.

Plus it makes the top picks worth a bit more. I've never rebuilt this team somehow in the years we've been here and it is a ghost town before you hit Round 2.

I still say no.
But if yes, should be following year since next years picks are traded.

Rebuilding is possible in this league as is, again in my opinion.

If any league should be unleashed, it should be a 24 team league. And I don't see any mechanism in the rules for delaying any rule changes for a year, so I guess I disagree with RD there as well.

Everyone free to disagree. Nothing in rules, just my opinion. I’m in 2 24 team leagues one with and one without unleashed. Just prefer without.
