So we rendered the game's best (ie ATG) relievers useless and created an environment where most every team's pitching strategy is about the same. Or at least, it is essentially always going to give decent results because it is a script most follow. It isn't the only way, but due to the wide margin of success, certainly is always in play almost no matter the circumstances.
We did two extreme things simultaneously: made the prices higher on said relievers AND tweaked the bullpen business rules(and controls) and so we threw the baby out with the bathwater from v2 to v3, IMO.
Scorched earth the whole thing and now we have that waiver wire that always looks the same except maybe in 200M or non cap leagues.
Teams mostly look nothing like an actual pitching staff.
Not that they have to, but oddly that was the whole reason to address "super relievers" in the first place--this cute little unreachable ideal called "realism"
