I think the purpose of it is to help you limit the number (and cost) of FA pickups during the season. Basically to avoid spending more money than necessary because the math doesn't work out like you thought.

That's what I assumed it was supposed to be/do, but I clicked the show free agents (or whatever) button and it would not allow me to add a free agent because I didn't have the cash available.

Maybe as you try to add a transaction, it'll give you the option to add it to the planner instead of performing the actual transaction????

You have to click on the actual player card and then click on the link to add that player to the planner. Your own players get added to the drop down menu once you've added a player

I hope this is available in the preseason, it would be valuable to any team that churns part of a roster to make a pickup and runs out of cash.

My team is in the preseason right now, and it's not an option.

My team is in the preseason right now, and it's not an option.

That takes away 99% of it's potential use for me.
Thanks for the info.

I started in the transaction planner, added what I thought was a POTENTIAL free agent with plans to drop an already rostered player, and nope - just added that free agent to my roster with no further options available. WTF????

You have to click on the actual player card and then click on the link to add that player to the planner. Don’t click the plus button.
