HAL MISTAKES ON RPs ?

On more than one occasion, Anne 3 or 4, with multiple teams, HAL has left my R Specialist to pitch to lefty hitters, and my L
specialist continue to pitch to R hitters, whereas in the past HAL would automatically pull said pitchers for the appropriate matchups- R on R , L on L.

What gives here?

I’ve lost multiple games because of this.

The new MLB rules last couple of years is RPs must face 3 batters minimum, unless it is the start of a new inning. Strat implemented those rules--so it makes low cost Hard RH or hard LH RPs much more difficult to get away with, especially with platooning opponents.

Also if a RP (or multiple RPs) is not available due to being used two or three games in a row, the AI (HAL) will keep current RP in the game until his arm falls off. This happens fairly often if you carry minimum roster RP requirements, many games you will only have one or two rested RP. You almost have to go with minimum pitcher rosters with typical 80M teams to have enough cash to get a decent offence.
