2 questions about rule 12:
1. Do we do the shuffle after waivers, and after we’ve had a chance to fix our rosters? Because HAL is going to give us a lot of non compliant players when we miss on our draft picks. Or do we just go ahead and shuffle non compliant players?
2. Whenever we do it, how is it going to work when the downstream guy goes over the salary cap when he essentially trades 2 expensive guys for 2 scrubs? That’s likely to be a $16-20 net gain in salary for the downstream guy, who may already be near the $140 cap.
Or am I missing something?

I think that we will need to do it pre-waivers. Anthony can force transactions I think.

And I'm assuming it only applies to eligible players, so whomever our 1st most expensive and 3rd most expensive ELIGIBLE player is, that's the guy we lose out on.

can the cmsr force transactions that put a team over the salary cap? I have not seen that done before.

I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes. Either way, we're about to find out! :)

I sent this via email but I'll post here:

Just logging off work and checking in before my Steelers play Buffalo.

Looking at Rule # 12 I have 2 comments:

1 – the cards Joseph dealt us all in 5 card draw are cemented in to our team. Can NOT be dropped or traded. They are excluded. (yes, you must include them on the draft card at that exact salary).

2 – I can try to do this pre-waivers but there is a bigger issue at stake. The problem with Rule #12 is that we are going to inevitably have ineligible players on our teams that must be dropped anyway.

My ruling on # 12

A) This rule ONLY applies to LEGAL players. So if I try for Babe Adams $9.35 mil card but lose and wind up with Hippo Vaughn $9.35 * -2 arm card, I can’t keep him. So if I can’t keep him, the guy I’m trading him to can’t keep him……so thus all illegal players are excluded
B) Option “B” is Joseph creates a special Sub-set (he’s done the work already) and we use that to play with and thus avoid any illegalities. I can probably remove everyone and fix the draft set or simply create a new league.

I move for Option "B" but I need 100% approval.

I’m ok with B. How long does it take to get a new subset approved. Is it an automated thing or something thst needs to be sent to Strat and wait on them. If automated I vote yes. If we have to wait for Strat I vote no.

Gosh, if the special player set can be easily made, that would cure many future woes.

Please do that if you can
