I guess clutch is highly overrated

45 games, still stuck on 1 clutch opportunity.

Hitters are all positive clutch BTW.

That's pretty gross although not having the ill effects of negative clutch is a big boon too.

maybe you needed to sacrifice more ab`s,moving runners often,surely would have change that

Like FrankieT said, it's not always about the actual clutch opportunities, but the way Hal tends to pitch to hitters in that context. Yes, I do see few clutch hits per season, but that's just part of the larger picture of everything involved.

63 games in and still only 1 clutch opportunity. Team is 5th in the league in batting average, so not a horrible offensive team. Just finding it amazing the dearth of clutch opportunities.

I honestly don't think clutch is worth worrying about. Typically, a team might face 20+/- clutch opportunities in a single season. That's out of about 5700+ at bats. And most of the great hitters have neutral or negative clutch.
One recent team of mine in a 24 team league (Barnstormer Semifinals) finished second in the league in runs scored with a a 1-23 clutch result. The #1 run-scorer in the league had a 2-15 clutch. The #3 run-scoring team had an 0-12 clutch.
I just don't see any reward coming from the pursuit of positive clutch.
So, my advice is, draft good hitters and don't worry about clutch.

Sure looks that way with 2 opps in 78 games. I'd say Clutch should only be considered as the "tie breaker" when deciding between 2 otherwise equal players.

That makes sense to me. For some reason, and with a few exceptions, HAL gives most of the hitters I like best a neutral or negative clutch rating. Looking for a hitter I like who has positive clutch is needle-in-a-haystack work for me. So I basically just don't bother.
If a team has 20 clutch opportunities out of 5700 AB, that's about 1/3 of 1%. For me, it's not worth busting my brain over one third of one percent of ABs.
