New 2023 Season Start?

What's not encouraging, is that there's no announcement yet on the game's page like last year.

Well, they have to know before they can tell us right? I don't think pricing is all that easy to do. At least I wouldn't think it is. In addtion, they have to get all the card images loaded and any upgrades to the system added and tested.

Then there is the Ohtani pricing which is its own animal and, of course, the Unleashed determinations. From all appearances, John runs all of that stuff by himself in addition to handling customer support for the site.

Lots of moving pieces it seems to me.

I would think when the card images get loaded you can figure it's getting close.

I would guess that with the program which is almost identical since 15 years and the fact that the 2023 season has ended in october, it's not so difficult to begin the data compilation. With all the technology available, I'm sure that there's not need to enter those data by hand anymore. If the guy is alone, like anyone, he can hire some occasional help during the high periods. That's only my 2 cents on the matter... I just wish that we could count on some kind of regularity in the time of the year that the set is coming out. After all, the baseball season always ends at the same period of the year right ?

All of what you say is true. I guess I would just say that SOM *wants* to get this out sooner than later. If they didn't make it as early this year, it's because of circumstances that did work the way they wanted them to.

I doubt it will be more than a week behind last year.

Copy the URL from a players card....paste it into another window so you can edit it....change the 2022's to 2023's.

Prices only at this point. As I mentioned at the top of page 3 of this thread, the full card isn't viewable using this method until the day of or the day before launch.
