rumors around other leagues.... it seems that Heekin (Paul) may have passed away this winter. Does anyone have verification of this? I have tried calling/texting and emailing him with no response. According to his profile, he hasn't checked in on the boards since Nov 12th. hope he's ok, but.....May have to find someone to take over his squad. If you know of someone that is looking for a team in a 24-team keeper league, let me know.

Paul, I have a lead on a guy who expressed interest a few weeks back about joining a keeper league. I sent him the info this morning and should hear back soon.

Awaiting confirmation and Paul's approval/vetting but think we have our replacement for Heekin.

And without being callous, I just want to say what I think a lot of us are feeling: Heekin was always a great owner, drafted on time, was fun to trade with, and easy to converse with during trades. As much as it seems a bit mushy, I feel that many of you are part of my "strat-family" and it brings me a lot of sadness when one of the good ones goes to a better place. I mean some of you can pound sand, but most of you are very dear to me

I’ve played Strat for over 20 years and although never meeting in person (other than Sean last year), I feel like I know many of you. Lots of great conversations about baseball and sometimes life in general. It’s a gut punch every time we lose someone from the group.

I sent Tanman an email... hopefully he will take the spot.
