Goal For Sim Fielding

What is considered to be average (as in a C letter grade in school) for a team to have on successful plays made on results determined by the X-Chart since we can now see that info off of our team's home page. Then moving up a level, what % would be considered above average (grade B), then final, excellent (grade A)....Thanks

a 3 rating is considered average as far as range.

Average as far as errors, I base that on the old advanced fielding before a 5 range extra errors were added at each position...years ago now.

Catcher is unique as throwing arm is more important but avg e rate was 8 (not counting throwing errors)

If you are asking for percentages of X-out vs X total in team fielding stats--I would say 70% is average 75% good 80% very good for an 80M team in 20XX---on the infield better range fielders turn more DP--better range OF give up less extra base hits.

Basically, look at it as total bases allowed by the fielder--a good chart here as it gives odds of TB allowed per game fielding wise.

Add the H+E and TB to get an on base plus slugging (OPS) allowed. (in card chances base on 216 chances per roll)

On the bottom of each player card use the bar chart, add total BB plus SI x2, DO x3 TRx4 and HRx5 to get OPS in card chances offensively---subtract the fielding from that and you get an idea of the players true value overall.

You pay a premium for very good fielding--so it is a balancing act/trade off you get used to as you play more teams.
