Baseball's Greatest Managers League -- Join Season 2!

Andy, a question,
Are the players who never played for one of the great managers--for example pretty much al of the NeL players--available at waivers? Or does the player set consist only of players who played for one of these great managers?
Also, am I right to assume that ANY card may be used, as long as the player was once managed by that manager? This would seem to be the implication of the fact that McCarthy or McKechnie can draft Ruth's card, since none of his cards are for teams managed by those guys. Also, a manager with Houk's card could draft Mantle 1956? Just making sure...

No to the first question. Only players who played for managers listed. Check, because some of the NeL players may have played briefly in the majors and may have played for one of the managers listed.

Yes to all the second questions regarding cards. Any card represents a player, if he played for the manager, any card of the player is eligible.

stupid question #1

who's responsibility is it to ensure the player has played for any respective manager ?

is it like Scrabble and if someone puts a word down, another player challenges and then looks up/researches the truth to see if the word stays or is removed ?

or does each respective GM have to sift thru a Baseball Encyclopedia (old school ha), to determine which player pool they can draft from ?

seems like a monumental amount of work, might not be understanding correctly, hence the query,

I work on the assumption that it is my responsibility to make sure my team complies. I may glance at your team and look up someone I’m unsure of but ultimately I think that’s your responsibility.

It's the manager's responsibility. The part I enjoy most about Strat is team creation. This league will take a little research to make sure you're compliant.
