Eras League

I want to see if there would be interest in making an Eras league. I made 12 Eras, with all of the ATG9 Player Pool and tried to equalize the number of players in each Era. Twelve teams in the league 80M no DH. The Negro League players with no year are in the 1927-1935 Era. I averaged the Negro League players with a year and it was 1931 or 1932. You can use the advanced option to set the years for your team to list players for those years to draft. Ballparks each have a year and would be limited to the years in the Era you may choose. NeL parks are 1947, and would be in the 1936-1947 Era. If there is interest, you could sign up here.

may i confirm if this will be a recurring league, going through each different era each season ?

Each manager will pick an Era to draft, all 12 Eras will be represented by a team in the league. If there is enough interest we could make it recurring.

There’s an advanced search on the player page where it can sort the players based on time frame (and many other things it can sort by).

I have created a league and have picked the 1975-1981 Era for my team. Choose any of the other Eras from the first post and name your team with the years you are drafting from.

To be fair to all participants you should sign up first than run a randomizer to determine era selection order. Otherwise the first teams get the better era's and the last ones to enter get the leftover era's.

Good idea. I will run a randomizer to have Eras assigned to managers who sign up. I will put my name in first. Of course, the first Era will be 1872-1912, and the others chronologically will follow 1-12. I will keep the league open and will probably have to change my Era. We will now take signups if anyone is interested. Place your name here.
