NLD 66 - Popeye Eats His Spinach

Well, I keep thinking my luck is going to change, and it's been pretty bad for bphrs and rolling on my card so far oh, and a million unearned runs, but we keep losing 2 of 3 and we're 3-8 in one runners. The one run loss in this one was a 2 run BS by Scott where every roll was on the hitters card.

I guess we want the first pick in the next NLD.

We're back at home after being on the road for 27 of the first 39. We've been bad at home, but maybe our luck will change. Need something to change, that's for sure.

OMG, maybe being home is good! We got a sweep and won two one run games!

Lost Henderson for 3 games, but hey, got some wins!

Things were going well. I was 18-12 after the first 30 games. Since then, I'm a miserable 3-9. But 9 of those 12 games were on the road. Lost a few close ones.

I'm 8-4 against the east. 4-8 against the West. And 9-9 against the Central.

So, on the one hand, we are saying "bring on the teams from the East". But on the other hand, the Titans are clearly the best team in that division so far and I haven't faced them yet, so perhaps "be careful what you wish for" is the order of the day...

Well, I guess there's something about home cooking for my squad, all of a sudden, we're winning close games. Gotta be getting a few breaks. Weird.

Well, that didn't last long....back to sucking.

Wow, we clearly have the worst team in SOM history. This is just frustrating. No way in H*** this team should have a sub .400 win pct.

Next Series with Jeep is going to be another joke. He's got a 741 win pct and we're sitting at 389.

Unbelievable that we took 2 from Jeep's juggernaut.

Either way we had to make some moves. Scott just wasn't getting enough innings and the bozos were getting a bunch so went to a deeper pen.

Doubt it will make a difference, but we'll see.

I agree Joe! He twice rolled 2-2, with a 0.4% chance, and a 2-4 with a 1.38% chance. I am not a statistician, but seems like "luck factor" was certainly in play there! Although, I have been at the craps tables and seen some wild rolling sequences as well -- so doesn't surprise me. Way to go Al, though! Take all the luck you can in this league. How do you think I managed to win the Ring last season? Certainly not good managerial decisions!
