I'll be posting information shortly for Ted Lasso League 2023-1, as we prepare for the draft scheduled to begin on August 1.

In the interim, would any of you consider also joining the Ted Lasso ATG League? A number of you are already in both, but some are not.

ROSTERS
1) Each team may carry a maximum of 32 players, mixing carded and non-carded.
2) There will be a minimum of 25 carded players on each team, as required to join a Strat league at the start of a season.
3) Each team may carry up to 7 non-carded players, including professional, collegiate, foreign, etc. They do not need to have been signed by an MLB team.
4) Teams may have 24-28 active players on the Strat site at any one time at the manager's discretion, subject to the salary cap and game engine rules.
5) Drops/adds are allowed within your own 32 players during the season, per game engine rules, with 10% penalty
6) There will be no other roster changes during the season, except for trades.
7) In addition, there will be no trading of future draft picks.
8) In the event a transaction sends an owner's roster above the limit, said owner is allowed 1 day to release as many players as necessary to get back to the limit. However if an owner has fewer than the limit due to uneven trades, the owner cannot bring the roster back to the full level until the next draft.
9) Teams will carry 24-28 players on their active rosters during a season. The remaining players on each team's roster are the sole property of the team that drafted them and may not be used by any other team. These players are considered to be in your minors, even though teams will have to “release” them into the free agent pool, since the Strat site is not set up for keeper leagues.
10) All teams must meet Strat roster requirements at all times.

NOTE: Salary cap of $110 mil for active rosters

ANNUAL FREE AGENT DRAFT
1) A non-serpentine free agent draft will be held each year, beginning on August 1.
2) Selections for carded players and non-carded players may be posted in any of the rounds.
3) Teams may keep or drop as many of their players as they'd like, prior to the draft, up to the maximum of 32, with no minimum.
4) Draft order will be determined by the groupings shown below and the previous season win/loss records within each group. Ties between teams will be handled as in the league setup rules.
...a) Picks 1-4: Teams remaining in AA Division from previous season, except that 1st round draft order for these 4 will be determined by lottery
...b) Picks 5-6: Teams relegated from AAA Division to AA Division
...c) Picks 7-10: Teams remaining in AAA Division from previous season
...d) Picks 11-12: Teams relegated from Premier Division to AAA Division
...e) Picks 13-14: Teams promoted from AAA Division to Premier Division
...f) Picks 15-18: Teams remaining in Premier Division from previous season
5) Draft picks in the current draft are tradeable.
6) Draft clock timing will be the same as in the initial draft.
7) Player drops must be announced prior to the beginning of the annual draft.

STADIUM DRAFT
1) Each manager will draft a stadium during the initial draft, in any round desired.
2) Stadium selection will be permanent, unless changed in MLB or unless a new manager takes over a team. In those cases, a new stadium can be selected during the next draft from those not currently in use.

As many of you already know, I've been experimenting with Excel formulas to automatically generate rosters from the Strat salary lists.

I anticipate doing the same thing in Ted Lasso 2023-1, because it:
- Allows quick roster updates, just by tagging a line in the salary list with the proper manager
- Makes it simple to generate a list of available players
- Limits typos to only the uncarded players
