The vote on the motion to change the player eligibility rule for our supplemental drafts stands at 8 to 3 in favor of "no change," so the rule will remain in effect as currently written in the rules.

I am scheduling our "MLB free-agent draft" prospect draft to begin on Monday, August 19, unless I am presented with additional information concerning scheduling conflicts. It takes us 8 days, on average, to complete a four-round draft so we should easily be finished before the Labor Day holiday rolls around and everyone will have had a reasonable amount of time to scout the draftees prior to making their selections. It is important to remember that this draft is serpentine. Draft order will thus be reversed from one round to the next.
