This is a great question with no specific answer. I was crestfallen that Degrom did not get a card this year (64+ innings) as he is the ace on 2 of my keeper teams. I was sure he would be carded, because I have had SPs with 60.0 innings receive cards. In general if an SP has "about" 60 innings, it's a good bet they will get a card in the Unleashed format. I guess now it has to be above 64+ innings. RPs need "about" 30 (40 is certain). For hitters, just look at Ernie Clement. 50 ABs was enough for a Ruthian card.
In the forums they said they didn't give Degrom a card because he was "too good;" but he's had better seasons than 2023. Who knows?
Historically, up until 3 years ago, a SP or RP that pitched 29.2 innings was carded. 3 years ago that was changed to the mid-20's. It was kind of random. To be carded in the 2023 set, (with the exception of deGrom) 30 IP are required. Hopefully SOM will stick with this same cut off next year so we in Pre-card leagues can make informed picks.
To check in the future, go to Free Agents in a league >>> SP>>>then sort by IP.
