I'm already stressing out about next years FA draft as it concerns my, late round, pick of the SF Giants.

A couple of players that I chose this year will not count toward my SF 4 for next year. I'll drop Wilmer Flores ($6M this year...50 cents next year) and Joey Bart is now a Pirate. So I'll need to draft 2 new SF players.

Players that are doing well for SF this year, like Tyler Fitzgerald and Heliot Ramos, may be picked before I can grab them in next years FA Draft. If I miss out on them, I'll need to add 2 SF scrubs to fulfill the team requirement of 4. Those 2 scrubs, along with Webb and L. Wade Jr. would be my SF Giants 4 for next year under this scenario.

Everyone drafted a late(r) team. Is anyone else in the same boat. In that, next year you end up with a "Franchise" team in name only? You have one or two $$ players and the others are bench guys.

You spatial/visual thinkers, give us logical/mathematical folk hope for a brighter future for our B teams.

I think the brighter future answer lies in Annual Draft -rules 3 and 4

3) Prior to the annual draft, managers may select 1 carded player from each of their chosen franchises, who is not currently rostered in the league
4) If managers decline to select a franchise pick prior to the annual draft, then they will receive a bonus draft pick at the end of the 1st round

So you, for example, can pick Tyler Fitzgerald or Heliot Ramos prior to the annual draft thereby solidifying the "Franchise" idea.
If I am interpreting the rule incorrectly, then commish will let us know.

My understanding is that you'll be able to keep J.Bart.

As for the Fitz / Ramos thing, we're all on that boat.

The Pirates will have to choose one between Skenes, Jones and Cruz !

i guarantee Paul Skenes will be my pick...Cruz is another Bichette type player....good bat..but poor defence likely a 3(E-33-38) .
