OKTOBERFEST - NEW KEEPER LEAGUE - FILLED

OKTOBERFEST KEEPER LEAGUE – 12 MANAGERS, 24 FRANCHISES, 3 TITLES

Join the OK League to bid a fond farewell to the current cardset in a new keeper league, starting at the end of the MLB year:
1) 12 managers
2) 24 teams
3) Up to 3 titles each year for the top gun
4) Salary cap of $110 mil for 24-28 players active in the Strat game engine
5) Up to 28 players per team; only carded players can be drafted
6) No need to play a rotten rebuilding team twice in the same cardset, as in a standard keeper

SEASONS
There will be 3 seasons each cardset:
1) AL-ONLY: Annual draft begins the day after Labor Day, with season following at end of draft
2) NL-ONLY: Annual draft begins immediately after AL draft, with season following at end of draft
3) WORLD SERIES: Top 3 teams from each league play in a 6-team fight to the finish *
* Managers who place two teams in the World Series must select which one they wish to play; the other one will be replaced by the next-best team in that league

FRANCHISE SELECTION
1) AL-Only draft will begin with selection of AL franchise, with draft order set via lottery
2) NL-Only draft will proceed in a similar manner, with franchise selection draft order in reverse of that of the AL-Only draft
3) Prior to the initial free agent drafts, managers will select 4 carded players from each of their chosen franchises
4) Team names in the league must bear some resemblance to the chosen franchises; e.g., New York Yankees, NY Yanks, Bronx Bombers, etc.
5) Each team will play in the MLB stadium of its selected franchise

I like what you've done with some things to even out luck (which should always be as minimized as possible IMHO)

like reversing the order of the NL draft (from AL), to ensure everyone has EXACTLY the same odds cumulatively, rather
that have bad luck repeat itself...can't tell you how many fantasy sports drafts I've had in a row with 12 teams, and I didn't even get into the top 4 or top half many times in a row...frosts my behind lol

interesting concept, I hope to play in leagues like this one day, still cutting my teeth now ; - )
