Favorite mid priced card….

PostSat Sep 28, 2024 10:34 pm

So in recent post we’ve had our favorite value card , and favorite cheap (.50) card and in the past I’ve seen best / worst superstar card post…. Now I’ll ask what’s everyone’s favorite mid priced card? Just picking a price range….. let’s say between 4 and 8 million I’ll give two one hitter and one pitcher

Hitter wise I don’t think there’s a better mid tier card than the 1953 Eddie Mathews card. Pure power and crushes all the time.

For pitching I like to go with the 1903 Noodles Hahn. I like to either have 3 or 4 starters around the 6m range for pitching and he always produces value for me.

Interested to hear what y’all got to say here.

Nomar. $7.07 but he hits like a $9-10 guy with reasonable SS defense. The bargain is there because of the 15 day injury risk, but that's fine by me.

For pitching I'll second the call for Noodles. Great card for a $100m cap and can be serviceable in the right situation at $140.

Playing exclusively $60M, the "mid-priced cards" at the higher salaries take up 10+% :D
For me, the Pinella/Covington platoon in LF or DH in a power park gets the job done more often than not.

he hasnt been on some of my recent teams, and I have very limited overall experience, only 2O to 25 teams total

but, when I was more willing to roster injury prone players, and still am to some extent, Javy Lopez a little over $7 mil behind the plate doesnt kill you defensively, I think a 3 rating and O arm, but the dude hits like a mother trucker, at least he has for me

one of my favorites is 4.32M$ KING KONG KINGMAN CARD...

AND

5.71M$ Barney McCosky... more than good defense at all 3 O positions... very good equal offense... 2B and 3B power...

$6.51 Heinie Zimmerman. Bad defense, but always puts up good hitting numbers
