I should asked this before drafting..... but I thought this 1st draft was players from last year 2023 and then keepers for the 2nd draft next season 2024. I see players drafting in first round now I understand but thats ok I'm learning

supertones, you're a good sport. visick's recruiting post isn't clear on which set was going to be used. No blame on him though because this recurring League rarely has openings. So it's not often that extra info needs to be provided. Then in trying to explain the league a bit to you, I posted that eligible players are those from "last year." I meant 2024. Perhaps you read it as 2023. But the great thing about this gathering is everyone gets another go in Draft 2. And once you are in the league, you have an automatic spot in the next years drafts. Welcome for perpetuity!

Sorry for the lack of info. We are picking players based upon what we think their cards will be for the next Strat season.

Bob (Palmtana) is right. We rarely have openings so my initial thread was a copy/paste from previous seasons where managers knew the league rules.

When in doubt, just ask.

As a reminder, the players you draft in the 1st draft, CANNOT be drafted by you in the 2nd draft.
However, after waivers, you can add/drop till your heart's content.

ie. You draft Betts in the 1st draft. You cannot draft Mookie in the 2nd.
You pick players in the 2nd draft. Waivers runs.
After waivers in the 2nd draft, Mookie is still a free agent and available.
If ya want him, you can the take him.
