LOL, another night of Pythagorean trolling. Outscore KLX 30-10, but he wins the one run game of the three on a passed ball by Zunino (1-4).

We've also been bit by the injury bug now on top of the other great luck I've had. We're currently +31. On the plus side, the bphr ratio has come down to close to 1 std dev, it was 2 std devs out.

Just the way this one has gone for me.

Well, my team is "replete with suckiosity" now! 5-19 since Game 125. No way to have a "stretch run!"

A collapse would be an improvement!

Wow, that's a tough stretch. Reminds me of our early season.

Since game 127 we're 19-8. Four of those losses were by a run or in extras. With KLX stumbling we'd have a shot with those wins especially the one runner we lost to him. Still would be tough to do, but it would have made it exciting.

However, .500 is within reach if we can go 6-3. That won't be easy, but it gives me something to root for in the waning days of this NLD season.

Well, so much for getting to .500. King of the one runners, KLX, took three games at 1 run each from us.

We have a +84 run dif (3rd best), he's at -55, the difference? We're -8 in one run games and he's an amazing 31-14 or +17. I would say that's a little surprising for a team with lousy pitching and defense, but there it is. Our pythags are almost a reverse of what has happened.

Oh well, it's a dice game. :(

Well, I'll probably go down in first round anyway, but speaking of KLX, he is the one I didn't want to face in first round--looks like I will get the WC from the West. Both are better on paper than KLXs team (and mine too), but KLX just had my number.

Yeah, best record teams have struggled of late. Maybe you're due for one?

Yeah, Looks like you're likely to face Stoney unless he makes up 3 with 3 to play against Jeep. He *does* have the tie breaker.

Congrats to the Playoff teams. Miller almost got to 100 wins and Jeep made it to 90. Not often we have two teams over 90 wins.

I put virtually the same team in an auto league & we had the best record, won the division, and the second best run differential. Hence, it is a dice game. Sorry the rolls did not go you way, Joe!

Very interesting to see that it had a much better run dif and not nearly as good in one run games. Of course, the competition isn't nearly as good in an AD as it is in the NLD!!! :D 8-) ;) ;)

But it is an interesting experiment. I've always wanted to do concurrent NLDs where we take the exact same teams and play them at the same time. It would be interesting to see how much variation there would be.

As for the dice rolls, it's frustrating for sure, but it is what it is. I've been lucky and unlucky this was just the downside league for me.

As a possible playoff preview nightmare--my worst stretch of the season I faced the other three playoff teams in succession from games 40 through 48--I went 2-7 and Stoney's team swept me.
