2024 Upcoming Semi-Finals

Next up - the semifinals.

The official rules has this wrong. They say 3 leagues of 24 teams, that is incorrect. Last year we moved to the below.

Top 8 will go straight to the Finals. A thread will be setup where the Top 8, in order, will start a vote for CAP, DH and draft pick position. The only caps will be 80 or 100. The final four will come out of the Semifinals where the order of picking will be by the League Champion with the highest WINS in their semifinal event. The Finals are Live Draft with an unlimited clock.

The 9-20 finishers will go to a 12 team league - 100 Mil DH

The 21-92 finishers will go to (3) 24 team leagues - 100 Mil DH

By agreement with SOM, everyone who finishes in the Top 92 will receive a credit to play their semifinals or finals event.

No ballpark restrictions for the Semi's - put your best team and favorite stadium on display. All semifinals leagues will be autodraft. No live drafts.

In the Finals Live Draft, a stadium will be one of the draft picks with no stadium restrictions.

Any idea of when the invites will go out? I know the standings aren’t final yet but just looking for more a time frame than an exact date

SOM has advised me that a credit has been posted to the Top 92 players.

This is the order of finish NOT the participants in each of Leagues 2 - 4. That will be posted after I re-sort the players into the 21-24-27-30 as explained in the post below this.

Last year for the Semi's for Leagues 2-4, we put players into this format:

League 2 / 21-24-27-30 etc etc
League 3 / 22-25-28-31 etc etc
League 4 / 23-26-29-32 etc etc

We will continue that format. It's been "board approved" and when you are dealing with 24 team leagues, it's going to take a really good team and a lot of luck to win it all. I strive for simplification.

Divisions will be randomized by the SOM engine once all players are loaded.

As an aside, so is this why the great and magnificent Christos took a penalty so he could play hard and still end up in 24 league team. I think he just needs more obstacles than we regular folk can provide him...

No, it's the price that he and everyone else paid for blowing off a live draft after committing to one. Now there are no more regular event live drafts. Blame him for that.
