I'm going to have both my teams in the CHampions League this coming season.

If someone else has two in one - we can talk swaps.

Not sure who I may want to swap.

The T-Mets are definitely a stronger team, but something about hanging onto the Twisted Arms as I believe they now hold the record for longest stint in the Champions league (and as one my original teams) I may feel nostalgic and keep them.

As I mentioned in a previous season, I am not capable of managing two competing teams equally.

My original Clowns and newly substituted Clowns2 for season 9 will now be six picks apart with Clowns2 picking before my Clowns. We tried it for season 9 and I don't think there were too many dire consequences. But, by the later rounds of season 9's draft, I was NOT picking players I wanted on the Clowns with earlier Clowns2 picks.

The two teams have multiple overlapping needs for season 10 and I will NOT be able to pick Clowns2 players fairly.

Congrats to our season 9 title winners:

- A wild race in the Champions division was resolved on the last two nights of the season. jflatour99 moved back into a tie with denorien and nol15736 in game 161 and then hung on to win the title. jflatour99 and denorien ended the season tied at 91 wins, with JF winning the head-to-head tie-breaker, 17-16. A race doesn't get much tighter than that!

- In AAA, Sknsfan took the lead in game 13 and never looked back. At 93 wins, the closest competitors were 10 GB.

- And in AA, jodynadu had a similar run, ending at 95 wins and also a 10-game lead.

Run totals finally started edging up again, at an average of 817 per team, up 3% from season 8

Four pitchers beat the old season record for strikeouts, with Luis Tiant leading the way (388) and Frank Sullivan had the most wins (28), while Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, and Ernie Banks won MVP honors

BA Elston Howard .372
SLG Mickey Mantle .722
OBP Norm Cash .431
OPS Mickey Mantle 1.133

H Rod Carew 226
2B Pete Rose 47
3B Dick McAuliffe 21
HR Jim Gentile 73
R Mickey Mantle 154
RBI Willi Mays & Ernie Banks (T) 161
SB Bobby Tolan 68

W Frank Sullivan 28
ERA** Steve Carlton 2.83
CG Luis Tiant & Bob Gibson (T) 33
SV Dick Radatz 48
K Luis Tiant 388 *

* League records
** For qualified SPs

* * * * *

At the opposite end of the spectrum, consolation prizes -- i.e., chances to win the draft lottery -- go to:
- The Turtle/Gorillas
- Spider 67/Black Bears
- dharmabums/Ravens
- max_fischer

Yes, let's get things setup as much as we can now and then draft after the 1st.
