Deja vu!
Bottom of the 9th, behind by one, a runner gets to 3rd base with 1 out on a single and an error. Great, now we have a decent chance to tie it up! A hit, an error, a sacrifice fly, a balk, a wild pitch, or a fielder’s choice could all score the run. A walk or HBP could extend the inning. But what happens? HAL calls for a squeeze play attempt! I have my bunting set on “Extra Conservative”, but HAL ignores that and decides on an extremely risky play with a best scenario of scoring a single run for the price of an out. Predictably, the play results in an out at home plate, leaving a man on 1st with 2 outs. The next batter strikes out to end the game. A ridiculous outcome.
Please fix this! Either stop attempting ANY squeeze plays when a manager sets his bunting for “Extra Conservative”, or better yet separate out a setting for squeeze plays specifically! Bunting a man over from 1st to 2nd with no outs is a completely different scenario from a squeeze play with a man on 3rd. They are totally different plays and deserve separate strategy settings!
