2024 Finals Live Draft

Irony is dead after the whining about “whiners” comment. Don’t let the door hit ya. There’s nothing “masterful” about starting drafts at 5am or skipping guys in the first round because they have serious jobs offline and need a day to get going, but maybe that’s the problem here — no real offline life, this is it, this is the kingdom.

Moose - Thank you for stepping and leading the tour this year. It is really a thankless job, so thank you and also cudos for swinging the credits for the finalist.

Not sure if everyone remembers, but we were in danger of not having a tour this year until Moose stepped and volunteered and he is exactly that a volunteer. Will all of his decisions be exactly the way you would have made them? Maybe yes and maybe no, but someone has to make the decisions.

Disagreements that come up after the decisions are made and when we are so close to being done do come across to me as complaining. After the tour is over there will be time to provide suggestions for improvement for next year. I think documenting all of these small details in the rules will help reduce the back and forth next year.

Moose has done a great job of running the tour. I hope he considers volunteering to lead it again next year.

I appreciate his efforts and said so. but his attitude is lousy and it’s fair game for participants to bring legitimate concerns forward. This isn’t some dictatorship it’s supposed to be fun with involvement for all. I’m done, good luck in finals guys

I think Moose has done a great job. This site is not ideal for a live draft. No matter what rules you impose, someone will complain. If we waited a day or 2 there would be complaints about taking too long. It’s a volunteer job also. If Moose wants to complain or snipe a little, he’s entitled. Long year herding cats. Thankless and I don’t think it could have been done much better.

Finally the idea is to have fun with this. Suggest everyone relax, roll with the punches and have a good time with the league. My 2 cents for what it is worth.

Actually, it IS a dictatorship when you've asked someone to "lead us" and then every move is questioned.

That's all I will say about this except that if teamnasty wants to bail, I will ask the board to agree on who to name to play in his place, using his picks so far and asking SOM (again) for a credit. Totally his choice to play or not but we won't waste a lot of time if we see delays that he is following up on his decision.

I hope Teamnasty decides to continue. We all want to play against the best and those who worked hard to make it to the finals.

I hope he does too... despite our disagreement...
