I didn't make the finals this year, but I'll put in a word for our commissioner, Mighty Moose. He's been EXCEPTIONALLY receptive to ideas and mid-course corrections or clarifications when they've made sense this year. I'm probably not the only one who has had a few private email conversations with him during the season. Very reasonable in his assessment of things. He also gets and keeps things moving and works well with us when there are conflicts or something is confusing. Perhaps the best tour I've seen since I started a number of years ago.
The time to question decisions isn't after the fact. It's before the issue comes up, and preferably in the offseason. That's what makes for a good competitor. Anticipate instead of reacting.
While I'm not even drafting here in the finals, I do wish that these short three-round drafts would be a little more lenient - maybe giving each participant a day to make a pick instead of two hours. The draft would take a little longer but be fair for everyone who has invested so much to get this far over a period of many months. But that's something to discuss for next year.
Congrats to all the finalists and thanks again to Mighty Moose for running a fine tournament for us. Hope he comes back next year. Good luck to all.
