thank you Toshiro

I dont know if you're Japanese, but I lived in Japan for total of around 14 years....and have huge respect and love for the country, culture, and people (Go Ohtani, Yama, Sasaki !!!...huge dodger fan here)

I do apologize to you and others who are offended by complaints, but there are so many here, and I see others complain as well, at least without the Kramer ("I let the expletives fly") tone....

hope to be in league with you before my credits run out

btw, here's another current team, leading it's division, with the best pitching in the league (lowest era) with all RHP SPS in LHB park

God bless

Well it's an old game. There are way better options out there, just not online like this.

its (HORRIBLE) luck like this that contributes to all Anti-HAL thoughts

another HAL special for me....just lost a finals

happens all the time in MLB

the regular season league leader (W-L record) wins the first 2 games of a series, up 2-0, and then inexplicably somehow forget how to play baseball and lose 4 straight....during the 162 game regular season, my team only lost 4 straight ONE TIME......

but, surely, in a 7 game championship, it was HALs time to dole out another serving

I’ve had both sides of that. It’s incredible when you’re on the “lucky” side. But it’s pretty well known that in a short series anyone can win. Saw an $80 mil/80 win team defeat a $120 mil/100 win team. Luck weighs heavy in the real world as well. An assessment of why Napoleon lost at Waterloo was that his generals— some of the best in Europe, all had a “bad” day collectively— dominant team lost game seven.

Great point. People seem to think that the team with the best record will always win, if that were the case sports would be boring.

its odd how viewpoints can easily be so misunderstood

i never claimed or said the best record team should always win a championship

what i DID say, was that it wasn't common for the league best record team, when they had only lost 4 straight game ONCE during the preceding 171 games (regular season + semis + 1st 2 games of finals), to COINCIDENTALLY and UNLUCKILY lose 4 STRAIGHT games, NOT at the end or near the end of regular season, so it wouldn't matter, and contrary to losing a hard fought back and forth 7 game final, to bow out so undeservedly and ungracefully

THAT is what i said referring to bad luck, NOTHING CLOSE to "the best record team should always win"

funny how some people just see what fits their own narrative

The other viewpoint though, is that perhaps that team was more than overdue to lose 4 in a row. Before you excoriate me, yes, I know that's a fallacy, but I'm not sure HAL knows that. ;)

so, just to confirm

it was NOT unlucky to lose 4 straight in the finals.......it was SUPPOSED to happen then, and that would NOT be considered bad luck to happen then....it SHOULD HAVE been expected....and not surprisingly....

it WAS regular distribution of luck, same as if the team had lost the last 4 games of the regular season (and still would have won the division and made playoffs)

that 4 game losing streak could have happened at ANY time, but to confirm it WAS NOT bad luck to happen at the most inopportune time as the finals ?.......got it
