2025 Tourney. Preview and comments

After getting one year under my belt and the Finals launched, it's time to look ahead to the organization of the 2025 tour. The cards are due out soon and I will look for that rollout to settle in and any problems to be handled.

Then I will work with the board to see if there are any changes that need discussed or voted on. After that, settle on the Events and Dates and asking SOM to finalize our 2025 Tourney Main Standings page. Then getting a signup sheet out.

Keep in mind that I STILL PREFER that most communication with tour members be by direct email to and from me. I will read this forum as often as I can but email is checked multiple times each day.

Of course if you have any suggestions for the 2025 Players Tour, I do invite you to post it in this thread. If it seems reasonable enough, it will be tossed to the board for discussion. Since this tour is quite a bit different from Barnstormers, I will rely on the board for Players decisions. (hendrix08, XHouser Jr., thisisray)

Speaking of Barnstormers, a few of the Players gang have taken the leap to join that tour too and I welcome any and all. We still have a couple of weeks left to get Event 1 shaped up, I would welcome YOU TOO.

I have asked SOM to setup our main 2025 page. I have proposed these as the start dates. No changes from Event CAPS and order (same as last year) which will make Event 1 the CHOICE DH event. (60/80/100)

Event 1 – May 12
Event 2 – June 16
Event 3 – July 21
Event 4 – Aug 18
Event 5 – Sept 22

These are first pitch dates, league loading is generally about 10 days prior to that. So for event #1 the leagues would be created and invites would go out around May 1 or May 2.

BTW, our goal is 100 signups in order to get free credits for all Semi-Finals and Finals players. Certainly lower than last year and achievable. But we could use your help to poke your fellow player friends. Asked SOM for their help. Hopefully soon. Last year Event 1 launched with 96 players.
