Now look at the very top of page 11. It shows andycummings65 drafting Justin Slaten (with an E) in our 2025 FA draft.

Since Justin Slaton (Terry's pick) does not actually exist - either that or he's dead now - and the Justin Slaten that Andy drafted DOES exist I'm going to have to award the real baseball relief pitcher, Justin Slaten, to Andy. Terry may do whatever he wishes to Justin Slaton.

We can't expect Andy to check "other" incorrect spellings of the players name on the Combine sheet before he drafts someone.

Two things we learned today...Terry is a good drafter of prospects but maybe not so good at spelling their names.

If anyone has a better solution to this situation please let me know.

No, I'm postponing the draft until we get resolution on the Justin Slaten issue. I will be back on my computer around 2:30pm, pst today and try to figure this out. I was thinking maybe just let Andy and Terry deal with it. Whatever they come up with would be great by me! That would be my first preference.

the player belongs to Terry and Andy needs to repick. Terry drafted him first and misspellings happen all the time.

Justin Slaton was listed in Terry's prospects. That is not the same as Justin Slaten. I wouldn't have known about this error if I hadn't checked it out. If Terry had said something right after Andy's selection of Slaten I think Andy would clearly have had to draft a different player. But Terry said nothing and we're in the middle of the 4th round. We penalize Andy for Terry's mistake and give Andy a mid-4th round pick instead of his first pick of the 2nd round?

You could look through the many misspellings and then draft that player and then you own them?

According to the commissioner's ruling
If I find that someone drafted Shohei Ohtani DH, LAD but spelled Shohei Otani, DH, LAD - I could draft him in the 10th round and I would own him?- Then any and all slight misspellings would be owned by whoever can find them and then draft them.

I think he pretty obviously belongs to Terry. I can just repick, but there's no way I can get Round 2 Pick 1 value now. He was listed in the availables, and, because his name was misspelled, he didn't pop up as taken when I searched the Excel File.

Ok- trying to resolve this

Terry agrees to give Andy two 2nd round prospect picks in 2025 and 2026.
