...I don't see why Terry is being punished here. He did nothing wrong. Why not just add a supplemental pick for Andy in between the 1st two rounds of the prospect draft (or something similar)?

You stated the solution, Fred. Andy missed out on pick #13 this year. Next year, in addition to his regular Rd.1 FA pick, grant him pick 1.13 as compensation. Talk of compensation picks at the end of the 8th Rd....10th Rd....in this years draft is nonsensical. Only chaff awaits there.

I agree. I'm going to give Andy the three FA picks at the end of the 4th round this draft. And he also gets the prospect pick and Supplemental draft pick at the end of the 1st round this year. After those changes I'm not sure if a 1.13 FA pick for next year is warranted or not. Personally I'd have no problem with it.

That is an insane amount of compensation. He should only be getting the 13th pick next year and none of what you mentioned above.

Sorry, but this is what is happening as long as I'm Commissioner. This FA draft pool is a relatively weak one with very light depth. So losing the 13th overall pick demands a higher than normal compensation package.

If this is your final ruling, you will need to find a replacement owner for me. that is a bad precedent to set and a terrible ruling.
