I am mostly neutral on the draft results showing. However, I don't really see the harm in showing it. Live drafts and pro sports drafts (like the NFL this past week) are open and other teams can figure out strategy, etc of the other teams. I generally am more favorable of more transparency like the results showing gives us.

This is quite different than those examples.
In this case, when you can see someone's draft order, it only causes more people to copy.
This isn't pro sports where players change from year to year- we have fixed cards.
That has already been an issue.

My bad on not being clearer. I know this is not the exact same as the drafts I referenced. I just fail to see the harm in full transparency. If EVERYONE has the same information, then it seems fair.

Think Im beating an un-alive horse- this is not to get on your case in any way- the opposite bc it helped make my argument hopefully clearer.
It becomes a dis-incentive to try and do anything original, which is already dis-incentvized.

if you spend some time developing a strategy, now its that much easier to copy that strategy bc someone else can see exactly how you put the team together, and whats most important in carrying that strategy out.

with all due respect, I don't see how knowing the order makes such a "huge" difference

you can already see the full draft results...so you know the team drafted those players....of course, some might be HAL replacement picks when your ranked guy got picked before by another team...but you can estimate how much of a draft list each team received by the post-draft waiver rankings (in order of who got the least amount of players requested)

additionally, you can guess where some of the players were probably ranked, for example the popular platoon guys, or other faves among many GMs, etc....and realize they were probably highly ranked, whereas other players you could assume weren't necessarily ranked so high, but still ended up on that team, and was probably one of their draft picks

thus, if there was the definitive list available in one league, and the exact same draft cloned occurred in another, and just by the estimation above, it would be argued that anyone could estimate 75% or more of the probable draft order that GM used to create that team

thus, the difference in what we can already do, and the "full transparency" is likely only about an average of a few players total for each team (that other GMs might have gotten wrong about where the GM in question ranked his guys)

seems for such a small difference, there's a lot of discussion or concern about it

not judging any one or their perspective, just adding the above, if it wasn't readily apparent

Don't think its a small difference at all.
You might be able to take a general guess as to where some players were listed, but thats very different- and you definitely do not know who was a replacement -- this makes a big difference, bc we've all gotten some top players sometimes this way.
Knowing exactly, not about, but exactly where someone is listed on another manager's card makes a huge difference in how I order my next draft card- and how much Id value a certain player-
it just makes familiarity, bc you often have a number of the same managers in a league, just that much worse.

It's almost certainly another way to "Level the Playing Field" . . . this is still the best game in town but I wonder why the program keeps putting my only designated MOPUP into a crucial game situations to lose games, including 3 times in a playoff series.

Yes, it does attempt to 'level the playing field' --
just not in a good way.

I don't know why Hal still does this stuff like you are describing- thought they raised the price to bring on new programmers- so far have seen little evidence of the effects of this.

There's no reason to show draft results except to make sure another manager gets your favorite preferred players. This is tantamount to a fellow manager asking you "how high did you need to rank _________________(player) to get him on your roster"? Of course only an idiot would tell . . . and only a dorky doodle would ask. Annoying.

Good take. Where did you come up with the phrase "dorky noodle?"
