Happy with my recent smallball teams. This one leads the league in scoring with only 66 HRs. 2nd scoring team has hit 333.

I have had some great success going this route. It does feel nice to get back to my smallball roots, and be successful. And it feels even better doing it with minimal pitching! I remember the good old days of my teams with 4 $10+ pitchers. That worked too, but pure smallball hitting teams are lots of fun as well.

Quick hook and no more than 6 innings from every starter except for Paige and Killian, and Radatz set as closer, middleman, and setup with slow hook.

So what other relievers besides Radatz can go that much - any of the relievers with R5 or R4

Murray has been the reliever of choice for many, but Radatz gets better results for me. The season I posted is odd, because of his high ERA and number of blown saves. I've had Radatz win the Cy Young for me on more than one occasion-- 20+ wins and 25+ saves are not out of the ordinary.

Have you ever used Jack Tobin in the outfield? Especially in $80 or possibly $100 mil leagues he looks like a great cheap small ball OF. I've had hm in the preseason multiple times but always end up going in a different direction.

In fact I can't recall ever seeing him on a team. Does he just hav a bad card?

Just lost the lead in runs scored over the last couple series, but hope to catch up again. The current Runs leader has hit 428 HRs to my 76...

Smallball rules because those type of teams tend to have a winning record on the road, which is one of the things that separates playoff teams from non-playoff teams. Win 49 games at home and 41 games on the road, and you're one of the four teams headed for the postseason.
