3 Season Draft. Paul_Long load 80s/90s teams

Post a message in this thread if you're willing to accept proxies VIA PM.

Those who then want to send proxies out may do so. Hopefully to speed things up a little bit.

I agree voovits, I don't want to enforce strict time restraints...but we are grinding to a halt. I will accept proxies. I have to do a lot of work on the computer so I can check on them several times a day, at least for now.

If we do a time limit, allow for a person to be gone for a while IF and ONLY IF they communicate that to everyone. Then, people don't have to constantly check in to find out when the person is available.

I could take proxies but I have to figure out where to look for them in this SOM site. (EDIT - OK, I now see where to find the messages. Thanks. I can take proxies. Just let me know so I check my messages.)

To get to the inbox:

click on User Control Panel at the top underneath the strat-o-matic logo.
Then find the private messages tab.
Then the link for the inbox is on the left hand side.

I've been in a league with fatdaddy before when he disappeared. Though I'm not kicking anyone out yet, I do have my concerns.

There were other people wanting in this league as well. If we cant get it together and start drafting soon I'm going to start looking for replacements.

I said in the beginning of this that I was looking for dedicated managers.

We waited the weekend for DJ because he announced that he would be unavailable before the draft even started.

I will be looking for a replacement if a pick is not made by the time I get up tomorrow morning. I already made a promise to one manager that he'd be first choice should such a scenario occur.

If all 12 of us could be in here for a 2-3 hour block each week we could knock out 5-10 rounds during that block...then try to get 1-2 rounds per day the rest of the week. Is that possible?

That would be awesome if we could actually coordinate something like that. Unfortunately my window of opportunity has likely passed for the week. I work overnight hours and my days off just passed. I have very little free time on nights I work.

Fatdaddy just picked without explanation as to why there was a delay. Hopefully he'll be checking in regularly and this could go on a regular pace now.

Are trades allowed during the draft... for players who have already been picked, or later picks, or a combo of both?

the issue is trading between player sets. That's not going to be allowed during the season, so shouldn't be allowed during the draft either.
I'd be OK with the swapping of draft picks that haven't been made yet or the swapping of players/picks as long as all the actual players involved are from the same set. It would only work if the quantity of players and picks are all equal.
In other words, no 2 80s players and 1 pick for 1 80s player and 2 picks.
Whatever is given on one side must be given back.

There is still the possibility of abuse with this method so if anyone has any input, I'd like to hear it.
