Of course we all want to know if a trade offer was read. This is only because of the many inconsiderate managers that will not go through the trouble of actually clicking a decline or accept button. How about if someone reads your offer and does not accept, decline or reply within 36 hours of reading it, their computer blows up the next time they touch their keyboard.

I agree we should know when an offer has been read. The only privacy issue is when somebody wants to keep it private that his momma didn't teach him any manners.

I would also like getting a delete notice when someone just deletes a trade offer without accepting or rejecting. Essentally what they are doing is rejecting. We should be able at any time to see the status of the trade offers we have out there. Read, accepted, rejected, deleted, outsourced to india, whatever.

Seriously, though. I received an email response from SOM, saying they will probably add this feature back at some point in time.

It would be nice if they demonstrated their claim to be more responsive and communicative on the boards if they posted an announcement they realized and agreed this is not a privacy issue and stated intentions to provide the feature at some point. Even better if it showed up on some list of planned future changes so we could easily see it is on their agenda.

Haven't ever heard a reason for not having it.
There excuse is lame.

The problem with their wish list forum is the lack of 2-way communications.
They should have a page somewhere which acknowledges items entered in the wish list with an indicator showing whether that item will get any serious consideration. And for those they deem good ideas some indication of where that fits on their list of priorities.
