Why doesn't Dickey play catcher?

My usual catcher is Mauer, Dickey is my DH.
Dickey is listed to play catcher if Mauer is hurt.
But your game system keeps Dickey at DH and puts a backup infielder at catcher. This makes no sense. I would assume this is a programing flaw. Perhaps you can enlighten me.

If Dickey moves to catcher you lose the DH. HAL seems to opt for preserving the DH in the lineup at all costs, at least from what I've seen.
