Bench 70 or Posada?

I'm in Forbes '57 and didn't get who I was after in the draft and waivers just went. There's good things about both.Opinions please. Thanks in advance.

I've only used Bench once (can't remember which card) and he didn't impress. I've never used Posada but I'd pick him. Truthfully I wouldn't use either in Forbes. If you are looking to spend at that level for a catcher I'd use Mackey and back him up with Myatt or Tate.

Personally, in Forbes I like a cheaper catcher. Sanguillen, Ira Thomas, Munson, Tebbets are the guys I'd be looking at and use the money to upgrade elsewhere.

def agree. Sanguillen...someone with natural hits and a -2 arm or better. ted simmons doesn't meet the arm criteria, but the 2mil+ 4R card is a good offensive card against righties, then can take a cheaper guy vs lefties who has a good arm.

I'd also say that neither is really a good fit for Forbes '57. You should be looking for guys with low bpHRs. However, if you have to pick between these two, I'd go for Posada. Less skewed, higher OBP, less gbA, and a few less bpHRs.

Thanks for the replies all. I was after Dickey for the 3rd time in 3 teams and didn't get him again and got stuck with Bench. I do remember Bench being mediocre as a hitter but his D is good. My division is a neutral, bomber and pitchers parks, but the league as a whole is hitters parks and there are 21 LHSP vs 29 RHSP. Bench has all those naturals on the left side of the card also. I know he's not a great fit but I think I'm going to try it out. 10% drop rate so I won't get killed in a couple weeks to bad if I change him out.

My lineup
Sisler
Lajoie
Vladdy
Hack
Medwick
Kiki
Bench
Baker
Vizquel

I'd use Sundberg, Schalk or Sanguillen. Their total value is close to Posada (not as good as Bench), but per $ value is much better. Then use the extra $ for other upgrades.

i do not feel your starting staff is strong enough. you can spend a little less on your bench and upgrade at 3B, CF (that cuyler card is not good for that cap) and SS.

There's no one left for SP that I have an interest in. This is what I have and this is what I'm going with. If they are competitive , great . If not , oh well, just another season at SOM.
