Fair enough, Jim. Except it took 5 days for drops, not 10. If it was 10 days we'd have more than 1 replacement right now lol. Was it Grayson who was your clear-ish #1 pick? Out of the 3 SS's I took the gimp. He's better this year than the other 2, and hopefully in years to come also.

No Grayson wasn't the clear #1, I think he should have gone between 6-9 (which, until the you created the player list I couldn't really forecast, those things are so helpful that way) which is why I wanted to trade down. I have Witt so the SS who I thought should have gone as the first pick I didn't need, that was why I was interested in the trade aspect. McClain is a "win it now" pick for SS there, so guess you're throwing your chips in this year!

Actually, Keith has been picking at times other than in the early a.m. for a while.

Which SS was that, Jim? The other 2 I considered were De La Cruz and Volpe. The problem with De La Cruz is errors. In the 2023 game he is a 3e32. So far this year he has 5 errors after 20 games. If he continues at that pace he'll be a 3e40. He may just be a DH (granted, a really good one) in our game unless he can learn to play another position in the real game.

Volpe has better D, and is off to a fast start, but I kept looking at his .666 OPS from last year and couldn't pull the trigger. Hopefully whoever picks him will get this years early version rather than last years full season version.

Have some veterans available if it makes sense for both parties
