Thanks, I've made the correction. I think I just forgot to delete him from your team on the 2023 Season 1 roster sheet. It looks like your team rosters are correct.

CUBBIES Signings:
After seasons of looking good on paper the Cape Bear cubbies are poised to make that next step in making a play-off appearance or at least this may be their best shot at one. The biggest reason is the gain of some much needed money after a few FA signings that were busts contracts were finished and no longer on the books. With the signing of OF Matt Wallner all the big ticket accusations are completed with back-ups to be added to the Roster to complete FA.The Cubbies did pull off a trade with Ober/Albies switching teams as former 2B Adam Frazier is moving to left field and D/H back up moving forward.

PITCHING STAFF:
Season ticket sales jumped 28% with the signing off All-Star Sonny Gray to a 2 year deal to be the leader on this young pitching staff. The Cubbies started big signing SP Kyle Bradish (12-7,2.83) to a 5yr 8 million deal and Gray (8-8,2.79) for 2 years @ 11,000,000 a season. Management was not finished there as the team needed a good solid LH SP and signed SP Jordan Montgomery (10-11,3.20) to a 5 year deal at 5.75 million per year. To support the starting staff the Cubbies signed All- Star Closer Félix Bautista (8-2, 1.48, 33 saves) to close out the games.

1: K. Bradish
2: S.Gray

Tip of the hat to you sir. You did well this offseason, especially cornering the market on quality starting pitching.

Phil, can you point me in the direction of last year's 4-5 year contract extension figures per position? I'd like to take a look to get a sense of what I might have to pay to extend someone this year.

Also, you have listed B.Pfaadt as an eligible FA but he's on my protected list.

thanks,
TN

Go to 8th page of Individual League Chat, look for 2023 Moneyball Contract Decisions, or something like that. Amounts listed on page 1 of that thread.

Nice write up Paul!

You have a “spare” SP who would slot in near the top of my rotation, so there’s that.

Looks like this could be the year of the baby bear.
