My drafting is done. I'm ready to load up. My biggest question this season is will my pitching hold. Will it be enough to go far into the playoffs? Will I make the playoffs? I like my hitting quite a bit. Hoping I'll score enough runs to cover for the pitching.
I researched a couple different leagues in 2015 and found that Roenis Elias, Franklin Morales, Colin Rea, AJ Burnett, Carlos Villanueva, and Danny Salazar have had good (all had ERA under 4.00 for at least one season) season's. Roenis Elias and particularly Franklin Morales have had had excellent season's. Although Elias's marks slipped badly in another 2015 season. Not a big enough sample size unfortunately but still, it's nice to know these pitchers have fared well before at least through one season.
Franklin Morales (RP) had one season of 2.27 ERA and 0.90 WHIP over 76 games and finished another with 2.02 and 0.79 marks over 69 games. In 20 starts (number of starts were divided equally between home and road with little difference in performance) over one season Roenis Elias had 2.76 and 0.99 marks. Colin Rea in 32 starts had 3.91 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. But those two SPs struggled badly in another season. I'm nervous about my pitching. No doubt. Will my hitting cover for my pitching? I really hope it does because I don't want to trade off any more future draft picks. I did too much of that before and it hurt my teams for too long. Anyhow, we shall see.
