We got through an entire FA draft and are in round 2 of a prospect draft thisisray has missed picks in st least two leagues. Maybe he has something going on. Yes, having a clock would mean I didn't have to stand vigil to see if I'm holding up the draft, but it's not high stakes. Can we just dial back a bit?

I emailed Ray this morning.

As Grant and Bill suggest perhaps he has something going on.

One thing we could do that might make everyone happy is open the lines of communication a bit better.

If everyone has each others email address or even wants to share phone # for texting with some people we could just set up a notification system.

Just trying think of a way to make the league better for everyone.

I try to send update emails when I can but not always consistent.

Ryan,

Once the MLB season starts, a 6 hour clock on the weekend, with nobody being skipped twice, is not unreasonable.

I've had Zach Neto on my radar since last fall. I would have already selected him if I hadn't screwed up and picked Senga in the first round with a pick I had traded, costing me 2 - 2nd round prospect picks. . But, the draft gets delayed 24 hours, he gets promoted, and he's gone. Not Will's fault - everyone scours information sites once the season starts looking for the next big thing.

I am officially asking for a rule change as follows:

After April 1, a 6 hour weekend clock be implemented, with no manager being skipped twice.

That way, if someone isn't paying attention, they get skipped after 6 hrs and draft keeps moving. If someone has something going on, they only miss 1 pick, and draft gets halted until the commish can determine what's going on.

We all have stuff come up. Your mom, Bill's daughter's accident, my accident, and life in general. Sometimes it is serious, sometime it's a manager prioritizing other things higher than Strat. That's fine.

I understand Bill's point about "Finding something else to do" ... but, that's not HIS decision to make for me. If you make a commitment to a strat team, you're making a commitment to 11 other guys to do your part and make your picks. I can't golf, or hike, or walk on the beach, or ride a bike. I appreciate the suggestion, Bill, but it don't work for me. I have plenty of other things to do. A full time job, a graduate program, a family, church, etc. But, I make a commitment to be in these leagues so I make sure I make my picks. If I get skipped because I can't check my cell phone every 6 hours for a couple minutes, then I get skipped. No big deal.

That's all I'm going to say. Can we have a vote? Thanks.

thanks for logging on to complain about not wanting a clock on weekends, Bill. And thanks for your direction as to how I should spend my weekend. Would have been real nice for you to actually make your selection in the draft, too.

Heaven forbid anyone else dictate how you spend your weekend. You can punish me now and make me wait till monday for you to pick. cool.
