Back to the 90s Closer Usage

I'm just experimenting with Regular Closer Usage. I had Jay Howell (C4) in a closing situation. He immediately got the hook after allowing a hit. Rich Rodriguez (no closer rating) was brought in to save the game.

It's early in the season but Rodriguez leads the team with 4 saves out of 4 chances. So, this has happened on more than one occasion. I'm a little confused with this managerial decision that seems to be repeating. I guess Rodriguez must be a good card but has no closer rating. I normally avoid Back to the 90's because I don't like spending a lot money on closers to begin with.

If it is the mystery card league, then the computer will go to the better pitcher. Jay Howell probly one of his shaky seasons

Howell's card was not bad ('90) but the Rodriguez card was his best ('92). So, this backs up what you said. I won the championship too.
