I'd like to see Jim Edmonds 2003 -- second best season for him after that awesome 2004 card. Stats below:

2003 33 STL NL 137 531 447 89 123 32 2 39 89 1 3 77 127 .275 .385 .617 1.002 160

Lots of great Edmonds cards to consider that are different. Right now we have two, at 2R and E. The 2003 you mention (1.007 OPS) gives him a 1 in CF AND LF 1(-2)7 and is a 3R.

2002 (.981 OPS) is a CF 1(-1)6, but a much higher OBP than 2003 (420 vs 385).

Also 2001 (.974 OPS) CF 1(-1)7, 1b410, but a 5R.

Or a California card? 1996 (.946 OPS) 6R, but a CF2(-2)2

Or a cheap 8R? 2006 (.821 OPS) CF2(-2)5 1b425?

Or a 3L? 2005 (.918 OPS) CF1(-2)3

All would be interesting choices. Good topic!

Gorman Thomas 1979, his best power year, ideal for great defense (I think, if it's like his other 1 cards in CF) and bomber parks at a cheap or mid-tier salary likely.

45 homers, .244, .356, .539, .895

Anyone have this card from the '70s game to show us?

He's a 1(-2)e4 in CF, with more on-base chances, and at least as much power as his current ATG cards, if not more. Card in viewer is not super-advanced. 1979 Card is a 2L.

Thanks, Bill! That sounds good to me. I can live with a 2L, not a deal breaker, otherwise kinda prefer righty bashing cards the way people stack righties in their rotations. :)

I think we could use a second Ryan Braun card. I think the 07’ card would probably be the best hitter card (it’s a 9L with heavy power) but it’s a 3b 5 in the field. So I’m guessing the 2010 card would be the next best. It’s a LF 4 but it’s a 3r balance.

2012 is clearly his 2nd best season

Yeah but I felt that card was similar to the one we have with the slight left balance. I think 10 would be better for the set maybe I worded it wrong initially but I’d be happy with 12 also

Kinda on this 40-40 HR and SB kick, given what Ronald Acuna is doing this season in Atlanta. So how about getting all these prior 40-40 guys in -- we already have Jose Canseco 1988 and Alfonso Soriano 2006, and those are not good cards.

SO, let's have some good 40-40 cards!

How about Barry Bonds' 1996 season (42 homers, 40 steals)? Good defense, surely a 17 running rating. I much prefer the 5 tool, pre-juice Barry. :)

675 517 122 159 27 3 42 129 40 7 151 76 .308 .461 .615 1.076 188 OPS+
