If the def line you pick was normally 4-3 and your lbs only played 3, are you penalized in results if you play a 3-4 or vice versa?

I don't think it matters. From what I've heard, if you go to a 3-4, HAL drops your worst-rated lineman and adds your best-rated backup linebacker.

I assume it works the same as regular Strat football... in which case your defensive tackles will be affected.
When a NT switches to RDT or LDT, his defense rating drops by one.
When a RDT or LDT switches to NT, same thing.
Pass rush rating is not affected.
Linebackers and DEs keep their original defense ratings.

Of course, it's entirely possible that Strat did away with that rule for the 365 game. Someone should probably ask them.

Howdy, Until SOM365 offers a blitz package menu for those 4 LBs, I see little incentive to use the 3-4. Using Hall of Fame OLBs without the opportunity for run blitzes and passing down blitzing is like having Rickey Henderson on your team, only to give him the "steal" sign 8 times per season.
