My question is, how do we fix this? Grove and Gibson for example. Truly all-time great seasons deserve a card as dominate as their actual seasons. I am not advocating a mass change. Just an improvement for the 5-10 cards that don't play like the truly historic season they represent.

Gibsons card is pretty accurate. Grove is a victim of era adjustment, in which the 1930s take quite a hit

I do not believe there is anything "to fix". I could be wrong, but Strat-O recreates each season individually by using only the stats of that season. The Gibson 68 season is historical due to his 1.12 ERA, but the average ERA for MLB that year was 2.98. The average BA was 0.237. Compare that to Pedro's 2000. His ERA was 1.74 when the league average was 4.76 and the average BA was 0.270. In terms of an individual's season compared to the league, Pedro had the better year. That is reflected in their Strat-O cards. Pedro is arguably The Best starting pitcher and Gibson is just a top-50. The real problem with the Gibson 68 card is the $10.17 price is too high. If SOM priced it at $8.50, the card would get used all the time and the results would be justified at that price level.

Agreed , the 1968 season really illustrates what you say ; Gibson,Tiant, Mcdowell and Mclain all over priced for the accomplishments that were so extreme that baseball lowered the mound before the 1969 season.
