Number of preseason transactions vs. in-season success?

Starting a league tonight where I was fairly satisfied with my draft and my roster construction relative to my division. I swapped out one SP plus my 5th nickel SP and that was it. Usually when I feel too content with my team I think it's a bad sign because I usually lose.

How do you guys feel? Do the tinker teams usually have more success, or is it "do it right the first time"?

I like to tinker a lot, even if I draft my dream team. There is so much nuance with league dynamics.

My draft is usually all about players who fit my park/plan. Tinkering is dependent on what the rest of the league is trying to do, and about what I ended up getting compared to my planned roster, so I would say there is no correlation, it's random.
